Because the figure adds two things together: 34,000+ investors and the 9,200+ investment firms they invest through. Counting people alone would give a smaller number, so we say both.

Which markets does the tender data come from?

Official portals in Qatar, the UAE (federal and Ajman), Bahrain and Oman. Qatar has the full record, with 24,000+ awards since 2017; Bahrain adds opening results with bidders and prices; the UAE (federal and Ajman) and Oman have notices and deadlines. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are connecting and are not in Ishara yet.

The public records are: tenders, awards, bids, buyers, investors, funding rounds and perks on the screens are the ones Ishara read that morning. Private companies, people, pipelines and messages are examples of how Ishara works. Only figures that carry a date and a definition are claims.
